That’s a great question. Obviously Devs need to be paid, we also need to allocated funds for marketing, then to make it more complicated, how about the rest of the team? Like many of you I have put in many many hours in connecting with some of the twitter people, working in the slack/discord doing PR etc. I don’t expect to get paid for that work however we need to think about how we want to manage this in the future. I have just over 30K phore now, with about 10k having gone into marketing efforts etc.and a little more in staking. The team is great, but people work for incentives, so we need to keep that in mind over time.
I have been thinking hard about this now that governance is in place. My thought was to put forward a proposal, or several proposals, that 1) Reward Devs 2) Provide marketing funds 3) A small percentage to be accumulated for a formal face-to-face meeting of the team (i.e., 4 days somewhere where everyone can brain storm next steps, update the roadmap etc). Eventually this could be a Phore annual Convention, but for now I think it would be something powerful to get people together IRL and put in some real work.
